This is all inspired by wandering/living in cities where street art, graffiti and hand-painted signs are EVERYWHERE: The Philippines, Mexico City, San Francisco, Montréal. I enjoy walking through the hustle n’ bustle of local street culture: the sound of tricycles; the smell of fried foods; mom n’ pop shops; food trucks—and all the sights that go along with them: hand-painted menu boards, beautiful lettering above storefronts, quaint illustrations on restaurant walls signifying their vibrant story.
I want to cultivate that same experience within my community.
